As we expected, the fight for Delta fish does not stop with our victory over AB 1253. The Peripheral Canal, along with the Sites and Temperence Flat Dams are being snuck into a bond measure which will hit the state capital July 7th (or 9th).
I need your help to set up a new entity to help amplify the opposition against further water exports and the complete destruction of our California central valley fisheries. This money will go towards my setting up a new site, a video and tons of leg work organizing with CSPA, Restore the Delta and others. Please contribute what you can afford! It Figures that the government is trying to close fishing down, they always like to ruin stuff in the name of progress , I’d have to call this one “Degress” since they would certainly upset the delicate balance of the Delta and the Delta would degress into a no fish , no birds, no anything, wasteland

I want to protest the changes you are planning in the Delta. It is absolutely stupid to put the striped bass at risk and the other species. Do not remove the striped bass off the game fish list.

Thank all of you for your hard work and advocacy to our fishery and the protection of our important and vital resources and our citizen rights of fairness and justice! Black Bass guys love Stripers!!! This is a political ploy by unsophisticated politicians who have special interest in mind to rid our Delta System of Stripers so that more water can be diverted and more development created to fatten up the pockets of a few and the expense of many. Thanks to every one for showing all of this support. I’m still concerned about the law suit sponsored by the same group (Sustainable Delta) that focuses on our DFG and Commision to remove the Striper as a game fish. this issue is also related to the PPIC and Delta Vision participants in the very beginning of the process.
Would it not be appropiate put DWR and their cronies on notice that they have gone to far. That their Directors have violated their trust in identifying the Striped Bass as the reason for the collapse of delta fisheries rather than admitting that their water policies carry most of the burden.

Gary – I think or at least hope that they are indeed on notice. The Obama administration just rolled back a Bush 11th hour attempt to gut the Endangered Species Act. This has a direct bearing on federal agencies involved with the Delta watershed. The state now stands to be ridiculed.
